You can buy an appliance from anyone. What separates a good purchase from a bad one is rarely the price on the tag, it is whether the thing fits, whether it arrives when you were told, whether it gets connected properly, and what happens if it goes wrong six months later.

We have been selling appliances in this area for years. We are independent, which means we buy competitively through Sirius, one of the largest buying groups in the UK, but we answer to our customers rather than a head office three hundred miles away.

Our own people, from order to installation

This is the difference that matters most and the one that is hardest for a national retailer to copy. Your appliance is delivered in our vehicle, installed by our engineers, and serviced by our in-house team. Nobody is subcontracted, so nobody can point at anyone else.

If something is not right, you call us. If you would rather look someone in the eye about it, the showroom is on Broad Street and we are not going anywhere.

Where an online retailer costs you more than it saves

The appliance that does not fit. Integrated appliances need exact aperture measurements. A listing that says "standard size" is not a measurement. We check dimensions with you before you order.

The doorstep drop-off. A washing machine left in the hallway is not a solved problem, particularly if the old one is still plumbed in and full of water.

The old appliance you now own twice. Getting rid of a fridge freezer or a gas cooker yourself is genuinely difficult, and neither can go in general waste.

The fault six months later. This is where the price difference disappears entirely, in the time spent on hold explaining the problem to someone who has never seen your kitchen.
